How we handle your data

Lendfolk is an early-stage prototype testing whether an idea is worth building. The only personal data it holds is what you give it when you register interest.

What we collect

If you register interest, we store the answers you gave about how you might use Lendfolk, your email address, and your first name if you chose to give one. We also store whether you opted in to hearing about early access.

We record which link brought you here: the campaign parameters in the URL, and the site you arrived from. That tells us which channels reach people who would actually use Lendfolk.

We do not ask for or store your salary, bank details, employment, credit score, date of birth, address, National Insurance number or identity documents. None of that is needed to answer the question we are asking, so we do not collect it.

Why we collect it

To find out whether people want a funding platform where supporters can donate or lend, and on what terms. That is the only purpose.

Your answers are used in aggregate: how many people would lend interest-free, what amounts people have in mind, and so on. We are measuring demand for an idea, not assessing you.

Marketing consent

Storing your registration and emailing you about launch are two separate things. We store the registration because that is the point of the form. Whether we email you is asked separately, after your registration is already saved, and nothing is chosen on your behalf.

You can withdraw that consent at any time by replying to any email we send, or by emailing felix@wahlberg.uk.

Product analytics

We record a small number of named events, such as someone opening a campaign, choosing donate or lend, or picking a return. That tells us whether the product is understood. These are stored separately from registrations, carry no email address, and are not linked back to you.

There is no page-by-page behavioural tracking, no third-party advertising pixels, and no profiling.

This is not a credit application

Registering interest is not an application to borrow or to lend. Nothing you tell us is used to assess credit, affordability, eligibility or suitability, and nothing here means you have been approved for anything.

Lendfolk does not currently offer loans, investments or donations. Any assessment of financial eligibility would belong to a later, regulated version of the product, and would be a separate process you would opt into knowingly.

How long we keep it

For as long as we are validating the idea. If Lendfolk does not proceed, registrations are deleted.

Deleting your data

Email felix@wahlberg.uk and we will delete your registration and your answers. You do not need to give a reason, and we will not ask you to justify it.

Contact

Lendfolk is a product concept and is not yet an established company, so there is no registered entity, postal address or data protection officer to publish. Those details will appear here if and when they exist.

This is a prototype privacy notice for a demonstration product. It describes what this demo actually does, and it is not a substitute for the notice a regulated lending service would need to publish.
